The 11th Shelf Life International Meeting (SLIM) will take place from May 20th to 23rd 2024 in Reggio Emilia, Italy. With the organisation of the Italian Scientific Group of Food Packaging (GSICA), the conference will be hosted by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE).
The congress features poster and keynote speeches on food shelf life and food packaging, focusing on the following key topics:
Innovative Technologies for Shelf Life Extension
Trends in Packaging Materials Development
Shelf Life Assessment and Prediction
Technical and safety issues of recycled and sustainable packaging.
A special issue of Food Research International (Elsevier, Q1) is devoted to the conference and comprises a selection of peer-reviewed invited papers.
The congress starts on Monday 20th at 10:00 AM and ends on Wednesday 22nd at 7:00 PM. At the end of each conference day and during the last day Thursday 23rd, attendees will receive escorted field visits to some significant food companies in the vicinity.
