Final Event of the CHARISMA Project: Uniting Academia and Industry with Raman Spectroscopy
1 October 2024, Brussels — The CHARISMA project marked its grand finale at the CSIC Brussels Office, under the engaging theme “Harmony time for Raman spectroscopy in academia and industry: not a FAIRy tale.” This hybrid event, welcoming both in-person and virtual participants, offered a wealth of insights into the advancements in Raman spectroscopy brought forward by the project.
CHARISMA-related CWAs about Raman Instruments published
Explore CHARISMA’s role, with UNE, NTUA, CSIC, ELODIZ, LBF, and IdeaConsult, in developing new standards for Raman spectroscopy. CWAs 18134 and 18133 provide essential protocols for calibration, verification, and data comparison of Raman instruments, supporting reproducible, reliable results across research fields. See how these consensus-based agreements are advancing quality and consistency in global industry practices.
Call for Participants: Protocols for Raman instrument calibration and harmonisation of Raman data
The primary focus of this study lies on establishing clear procedures for calibrating Raman instruments, verifying spectral resolution, and harmonising data to improve reliability and to facilitate inter-instrument comparability.

The CHARISMA Project held its consortium meeting from June 3 to June 5, 2024, at the prestigious Fondazione UNIMI in Milan, Italy. The three-day event, hosted by the University of Milan, brought together leading experts and partners to discuss advancements, updates, and future directions of the project.
CEN Workshop: Public Commenting Phase
On 28 February 2024 the CEN Workshop on 'Raman devices calibration, verification and twinning protocols' was kicked off where registered participants have agreed on the draft of the CWA. For this a public commenting is organised, closing on 29 June 2024.
