The use of standards and standardisation has been recognised by the European Commission as a valuable tool to enhance the acceptance and market uptake of the results of the R&I projects, as stated in general documents and specific calls from European Framework Programmes (Horizon Europe, H2020 and even former programs). However, it is not always known how to make use of this tool and how to include standardisation activities when designing a R&I project.
