Encapsulae
Encapsulae was born in 2018 as a spin-off of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC). It develops functional additives for active packaging; increasing food safety, extending food shelf-life and accelerating plastic biodegradation.
Role in the project
ENCAPSULAE provides to CHARISMA project with reference materials and specifications, contributes to spectrometer calibration and Round Robin test. Is also responsible for demonstrating a food active packaging by in situ Raman measurement of microbial inhibition.
It is also involved in the demonstration of recyclable vs compostable polymers for the active food packaging.
